What Is Steel Seals?

Steel Seals (also known as strapping buckles、banding clips) are metal fasteners precision-stamped from high strength steel . Their primary function is to securely clamp and interlock the two overlapping ends of strapping material—be it steel strapping, Polyester strapping, or Polypropylene strapping—during cargo bundling. This creates a closed loop that resists easy disengagement. By providing a robust mechanical lock capable of withstanding extreme tension, steel seals effectively prevent load failure caused by strap loosening during transport, storage, or handling. They are a critical component for securing heavy or high-value cargo. Steel seals offer versatile application: they are compatible with both manual strapping tools for on-site operations and fully automated strapping machines for high-volume production line efficiency.

Surface Treatment Of Steel Seals

Our strapping seals are treated with either cold rolling or galvanizing. Cold rolling simply means the original color of the steel, without any coating. Galvanizing includes cold galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing.

Also known as overlap seal、Closed seal, pressure to deform clip and steel strap into metallurgical fusion,Tamper-evident design - Destructive removal required. Closed (Push-on) Steel Strapping Sealsare the best on the market. Closed Steel Strapping Seals are used for Steel Strapping application sinvolving round or irregular shaped packages suchas coils, pipe, coiled rod, etc. Strapping is used directly from the coil, threaded through the pusher seal and formed into a "lasso" or slip loop which isthen pulled hand tight around the package.
