It is designed for demands that require metal straps with a common tensile strength grade of 880N/mm².
There are three surface treatment methods for our steel banding.
The surface of the steel metal strapping determines its anti-rust property. Therefore, "bare wax" has no anti-rust effect, while the common "blue tempered & wax" has already shown a satisfactory protective effect.
If better anti-rust quality is required, after bluing heat treatment, apply black varnished, then drying it and then waxing. In this way, a better anti-rust effect can be achieved.
As a large-scale metal strapping manufacturer in China, the colors of our painted steel strips can be customized, such as black, green, red, etc.
zinc dust varnished has the best anti-rust effect. We have two types of galvanized steel stripping,One is hot rolled steel strapping, the other one is cold rolled steel strapping
Smooth edge with burr removal: Our steel strapping undergoes a proprietary deburring process, ensuring smooth, rounded edges that eliminate the risk of cuts or abrasions during handling. This feature not only enhances operator safety but also minimizes damage to packaged goods.
Ribbon wound coil steel strapping with a width 12.7mm/16mm/19mm is usually 25-30kgs per roll.25mm steel strapping:36-40kgs per rolls.32mm steel banding:45-50kgs per roll.around 1 ton per pallet.Ribbon is generally suitable for manual strapping tools and pneumatic strapping tools.
Oscillate wound coil steel strapping with a width 12.7mm/16mm/19mm is usually 40-50kgs per roll.12-18 rolls per pallet.Oscillated is generally suitable for manual strapping tools or pneumatic strapping tools or steel strapping machine.
Jumbo wound coil steel strapping with a width 32mm is usually 180kgs/280kgs/360kgs/400kgs/500kgs/1000kgs.Jumbo is generally suitable for steel strapping machine.
The dimensions and weights of the steel strips mentioned above are some of our more common standards. If you need other width dimensions or required weights, we can accept customization. Welcome to consult!

Sea-worthy packaging:Each pallet is equipped with metal rust-preventive desiccants inside, enveloped with VCI anti-rust film, covered with moisture-resistant wax paper externally, reinforced with four straps.Fixed on fumigation free wooden pallets or steel pallets.
A: Duro Steel Strapping is a medium-tensile metal banding strap with a tensile strength of approximately 930 N/mm² (ultimate tensile strength), making it suitable for demanding medium-to-heavy load securing, industrial cargo bundling and export-grade packaging. It is ideal for securing pallets, crates, bundled construction materials, metal products, machinery parts, bricks, timber, and other heavy industrial or export cargo — wherever durability, load stability and resistance to load shifting are required under tension.
A: Duro steel straps are provided in multiple coil formats — ribbon-wound (RW), oscillated-wound (OW), and jumbo / bulk coils. For manual or pneumatic strapping tools (small to mid-size pallets or bundles), ribbon-wound coils are convenient. For semi-automatic or machine strapping lines, oscillated coils offer balanced efficiency. Jumbo (bulk) coils are best suited for high-volume orders, factory production, or large export shipments requiring multiple bands per load. This flexibility allows buyers to match strap format to workload, tooling, and shipment volume.
A: The Duro strap can be supplied with a variety of surface treatments: painted & waxed (standard), as well as galvanized (zinc-coated) for enhanced corrosion and moisture resistance. For dry storage, short-distance shipping or enclosed warehouse use, painted/waxed finish may be sufficient. For export shipping, long-distance transport, container cargo, or humid/climate-sensitive destinations, galvanized (zinc-coated) steel strapping is highly recommended — the zinc coating significantly improves corrosion resistance, protecting band integrity and cargo safety.
A: Duro steel strapping is available in various widths and thicknesses suitable for a wide range of cargo types. Strap width and thickness directly affect breaking strength and load-bearing capacity. For light to medium pallets or crates, narrower / thinner straps may be sufficient; for heavy loads (e.g. metal products, timber, bricks, machinery), wider / thicker straps with higher tensile strength should be used. When selecting strap spec, consider cargo weight, shape (sharp edges, irregular shapes), packing method (pallet, crate, bundle), and shipping conditions (domestic vs export, container vs open transportation). Choosing the correct specification helps prevent strap failure or load shifting during transport.
A: Yes. We support customization and OEM / bulk orders for our steel strapping products. Clients can specify strap width, thickness, coil format (ribbon, oscillated, jumbo/bulk), surface finish (painted, waxed, galvanized), and export-ready packaging (VCI / anti-rust film, palletized coil bundles, moisture protection). This flexibility is ideal for distributors, large-volume buyers, globally shipping exporters, or industrial users with special needs.
A: For export orders, steel strapping coils can be individually wrapped with VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) or anti-rust paper/film. Coils are then palletized, strapped, wrapped with moisture-proof film, and, if needed, desiccants are included for humid or marine shipments. Such export-ready packing helps prevent rust, moisture damage, coating degradation, and protects strap integrity and cargo during long-distance shipping or container loading.
A: Industries such as metal fabrication (steel coils, pipes, sheets), construction (beams, rebar, concrete materials), timber and lumber bundling, machinery & heavy equipment packaging, brick/stone or building materials crates, palletized export cargo, and heavy industrial shipments often choose steel strapping. Steel strapping is preferred over PET or plastic banding when rigidity, minimal elongation, edge resistance, and high break strength are required — especially for sharp-edged, heavy or brittle loads, or shipments exposed to rough handling/environmental stress where strap stability is critical.
A: When using steel strapping under tension, it's essential to follow safe handling practices: use proper tensioning tools (manual, pneumatic, or automatic), avoid over-tightening (which may damage cargo) or under-tightening (which can lead to load shifting). Before cutting or releasing straps, ensure slack is relieved — steel straps under tension can snap back sharply, posing injury risk. Always use protective gear (gloves, eye protection) when applying or cutting straps, and inspect strap edges for burrs or damage before use, especially if straps have been stored under humidity. For galvanized or coated straps, store coils in a dry environment to maintain corrosion resistance before use.
It is designed for demands that require metal straps with a common tensile strength grade of 880N/mm².
